South Korean judoka, Cho Jun-ho, won the bronze medal in the repechage of the men's under-66-kilogram division on Sunday at the London Olympics.

Cho seized the bronze after beating Spain’s Sugoi Uriarte at the ExCeL Arena.

Cho’s bronze was all the more valuable as it came in a repechage round after he lost his bid for a semifinal berth when a referee and two judges overruled on a flag decision.

During the quarterfinals, Cho was named, at first, the winner over Japan’s Masashi Ebinuma after the judokas tied and judges were left to make a final decision. However, a referee and two judges overturned their decision following an intervention by the International Judo Federation .
