Jin Jong-oh Wins Gold Medal in 10M Air Pistol

South Korea's Jin Jong-oh has won a gold medal in the men's ten-meter air pistol at the London Olympics.

Jin shot a total of 688.2 to bring his nation its first gold of the London Olympics at the competition held Saturday at the Royal Artillery Barracks.

Italy's Luca Tesconi captured the silver medal with 685.8 and Andrija Zlatic of Serbia took the bronze with 685.2. Defending champion Pang Wei of China finished fourth.

After pulling off his tenth and final shot of a near perfect 10.8, the South Korean marksman raised his arms into the air in joyful celebration.

Jin, who took gold in the 50-meter pistol event and silver in the ten-meter air pistol event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, has now become the first South Korean marksman to win gold in two consecutive Olympic Games.
