The season of cheering is back.

South Korea’s national soccer team played its first game in a preliminary round Thursday night. Citizens poured into the streets with their friends and family to cheer away the tropical night.

Deep sighs were heard from here and there as no goals shot through the net, but fans yelled out the names of their favorite players nonetheless in support.

Cheering songs went on past midnight.

Although the game ended in a scoreless draw, citizens didn’t forget to root on the national soccer team.

With the opening ceremonies of the London Olympics still hours away, the cheering spirit of South Korean citizens is already heating up.
