South Koreans will continue to suffer under scorching temperatures on Wednesday.

A heat wave watch has been issued for Seoul and most parts of the nation. And in some southern inland areas, a heat wave warning has been announced.

Afternoon highs will reach 36 degrees Celsius in Daegu, 34 in Gwangju and 33 in Seoul and Daejeon.

The sweltering temperatures are expected to continue through early next week.
