Olympic Medal Hopefuls Arrive in the U.K.

Olympic gold medalist Park Tae-hwan and rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae have arrived in London to compete in this week’s Olympic Games.

Park is said to be in his final leg of training at the Aquatic Center where actual meets will be held before the Games begin.

Park had been training in France for the last three weeks for the competition.

The swimmer is aiming to break a world record in the 400 meter competition, in addition to beating his Chinese rival, Sun Yang.

As for Son, it will be her first Olympics and the gymnast has commenced her final training after arriving in the United Kingdom with the Russian Olympic team.
