The opening of the 2012 London Olympics is now just ten days away.

The atmosphere for the global event is heating up in the British capital, which is hosting the modern Summer Olympics for the third time, following the 1908 and 1948 summer games.

Ten-thousand-500 athletes from 203 countries will compete for medals in the 17-day-long event that kicks off July 27th.

South Korea will send a 245-member squad to London in hopes of winning at least ten gold medals and a top-ten finish.

South Korean soccer players and gymnasts have already arrived in London, and the rest of the nation's competitors will leave for London on July 20th.
