Monsoon rains are in the forecast for the nation on Thursday.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said on Tuesday that the seasonal rain front, currently in the southern waters of Jeju Island, will move north from Wednesday, affecting coastal regions of South Jeolla Province around Wednesday night. The monsoon will then move onto the entire nation between Thursday afternoon and early Friday.

The central region is forecast to see heavy downfalls with lightning and up to 120 millimeters of rain. The southern regions and Jeju Island are projected to witness between ten and 50 millimeters of rainfall.
