The opening of the 2012 London Olympic Games is now just a month away.

The games open on July 27 at the London Olympic Stadium for a 17-day run through August 12th.

Korean athletes are gearing up for the global event with an aim to win at least ten out of 302 gold medals at stake.

Korea is expected to win its first gold medal on the second day of the London Olympic Games.

Male shooter Jin Jong-oh, swimmer Park Tae-hwan, and a men’s archery team are touted as the most likely to bring home the first gold medal.

Korea will gain solid footing for its goal of a top-ten finish in London if it wins gold medals in all three events.

The Korean Olympic team will hold a launch ceremony on July eleventh in Korea and arrive in London on July 20th.
