South Korea went down a goal early in its World Cup Group A Asian qualifier on Friday but quickly recovered to trounce the Qatari team 4-1.

At Doha's air-cooled Al Sadd Stadium, Qatar’s Yousef Ahmed struck first with a goal in the 22nd minute, but South Korea evened things up at 1-1 just several minutes later on a header from Lee Kun-ho. Lee would score again in the second half in addition to goals by his teammates Gwak Tae-hui and Kim Shin-wook.

South Korea's next match in its drive to reach the 2014 World Cup will be played in Goyang City in South Korea against Lebanon.
