Leading triathlete Heo Min-ho will become the first South Korean to compete in the event at a summer Olympics.

Triathlon Korea says that Heo made the cut and is among the 55 triathletes who will compete in the event at the London Olympics this summer. The selection was based on combined score and ranking results up until the World Triathlon Madrid tournament held last week.

The Triathlon is a multi-sport event consisting of a one-point-five kilometer swim, 40 kilometers of cycling and a ten kilometer marathon.
