S. Korea to Face Mexico, Gabon and Switzerland in Olympic Soccer

South Korea’s national soccer team has been placed in Group B where it will take on Mexico, Gabon and Switzerland in this summer's London Olympic Games.

The South Korean team was grouped on Tuesday during an Olympic soccer draw for the 16-team finals held at Wembley Stadium in London.

The Korean team will kick off its bid for gold against Mexico at Saint James’ Park in Newcastle on July 26th. A game against Switzerland will follow on July 30th, and a third match against Gabon will be held on August second.

Coach Hong Myung-bo said he was satisfied with Tuesday’s draw results.

The Korean team earned a berth in the London Olympics after beating Oman 3-0 in a regional qualifier in February. It will mark the seventh consecutive time for South Korea's team to compete in the Olympics.
