Seven More Volleyball Players Involved in Match-Fixing Receive Lifetime Ban

The Korean Volleyball Federation has issued lifetime bans on seven volleyball players involved in a match-fixing scandal.

The federation’s disciplinary committee on Monday held a meeting and issued the lifetime ban from the industry on seven players. Four other players already received the same punishment last month from the federation.

The federation also issued an indefinite suspension on a player of Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance who reported himself to the V-League for his involvement.

The four other players who already received punishment for being involved in the match-fixing have been banned from working in any jobs related to professional volleyball, such as the federation, professional volleyball teams, and agencies.
