South Korea’s Park Ji-sung led Manchester United as team captain during the Europa League game against Ajax on Thursday evening.

Park was given the captaincy during the second leg of round of 32 play at Old Trafford. It was the first time Park led his team onto the field as captain since he joined United in 2005.

Manchester United lost 2-1 to Ajax, but it moved on to the round of 16 on aggregate success with a score of 3-2 due to its early victory in round of 32 play.
