Allegations of match-fixing are emerging in domestic baseball and basketball leagues following similar scandals in professional soccer and volleyball leagues.

A gambling broker surnamed Kim, who was arrested for his involvement in rigging soccer games last year, recently told prosecutors that another broker surnamed Kang was involved in fixing local baseball and basketball games.

Kang was recently arrested for his alleged role in fixing volleyball games.

The Daegu District Prosecutors’ Office said its looking into allegations that Kim was also involved in fixing volleyball games.
