National Soccer Team Beats Thailand in King's Cup

The South Korean national soccer team has won its first match in Thailand’s King’s Cup tournament against the host nation.

South Korea routed the Thai team on Sunday 3 to 1 in a strong showing of its offense.

Kim Dong-sub connected on a pass from Kim Min-woo to score the first goal, and Thailand equalized just nine minutes into the second half. But Korea netted two more goals by Seo Jung-jin in the 25th minute and Kim Hyun-sung ten minutes later to seal the victory.

The King’s Cup is a good test of the South Korean team's skills as it prepares for qualifying matches for the 2012 London Olympics.
