The head of the Korea Football Association’s international relations department has been named a member of the FIFA U-20 World Cup organizing committee.

The association announced on Friday that Kim Ju-sung was appointed a member of the organizing committee during a FIFA executive committee meeting last month. Kim's term is four years.

The association said that the appointment will contribute to enhancing South Korea’s place in the international soccer community.

Meanwhile, Kwon Jong-chul, chief of the association’s referees committee, has been named a member of the Asian Football Confederation’s referees committee.
