South Korea is predicted to see warmer-than-usual weather and a similar amount of precipitation in 2012 compared to previous years.

Based on data collected over the past 30 years, the Korea Meteorological Administration forecast that the nation has a 70-percent chance of seeing a higher-than-usual average temperature next year due to global warming. The chance of seeing a similar or lower temperature is 30 percent.

The chance the nation will see a similar level of precipitation stands at 50 percent and the odds it will see more are at 40 percent.
