KMA: Fall Saw Unusually Warm Weather This Year

The Korea Meteorological Administration says this fall's unusually warm weather recorded the third highest average temperature for the season in South Korea's history.

The weather agency said last month’s temperature hit a 38-year record for November since systematic climate observation began in 1973. It said the nation's average temperature stood at eleven degrees Celsius last month, three-point-four degrees higher than past years in November.

The nation also experienced unusually hot weather in September this year.

The weather service attributes the warmer-than-usual weather to a lingering hot high pressure front and a weak cold continental high pressure front.
