Samsung Lions Advance to Asia Series Final

South Korea's Samsung Lions have defeated Taiwan's Uni-President Lions to advance to the final of the 2011 Asia Series.

The Lions scored two runs in the third inning of Sunday's game following back-to-back hits by Bae Young-seob and Park Han-yi and on a sacrifice fly by Chae Tae-in.

Samsung scored another run in the fourth before Uni-President tied the game at 3-3 in the sixth inning.

Choi Hyung-woo hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to secure his team's 6-3 victory over the Taiwanese team.

Samsung will play the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of Japan in the series final on Tuesday. The Hawks advanced to the final after beating Australia's Perth Heat 4-0.
