South Korea’s Ryu Seung-min and North Korea’s Kim Hyok-bong won the men's doubles table tennis title at the Qatar Peace and Sport Cup tournament in Doha on Tuesday.

The duo captured the title after beating a U.S.-Russia team 3-to-0.

South Korea’s Kim Kyung-ah and the North’s Kim Hye-song came in second place in the women’s double event.

Since the 1991 World Championships held in Chiba, Japan, this marks the first time in 20 years that the two Koreas created a joint team for an international table tennis event.

The Qatar Peace and Sport Cup is an international friendly competition hosted by the International Table Tennis Federation.
