Temps Plunge Nationwide Monday

Temperatures in South Korea have fallen sharply across the nation prompting citizens to pull out their winter coats and scarves.

Temps in capital Seoul dropped to six degrees Celsius Monday, but it felt even colder due to strong winds.

Morning lows were five to six degrees lower than on Sunday with Cheorwon in Gangwon Province reporting one degree below zero.

Afternoon highs will range from ten to 17 degrees across the country.

The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasts that temperatures will rise to usual levels from Tuesday afternoon.
