S.Korea Beats Thailand at AFC U-16 Womens’ Championship

South Korea has beaten Thailand 3-0 at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-16 Women's Championship 2011.

The South Korean team led by coach Jeung Youn-sam defeated the Thai team in their third match held in Nanjing, China, on Monday.

The latest victory boosted South Korea’s rank from third to fourth in the tournament and improved its record to two wins and one loss.

South Korea’s Namgung Ye-ji scored first in the 40th minute of the first half of the match amid pounding rain. The team's second goal came in the first minute of the second half and its third goal in the 24th minute.

South Korea will play its fourth game of the tournament against Japan on Thursday and its fifth match against China on Sunday.
