The SK Wyverns have advanced to the Korean Series for the fifth year in a row after a victory in game five of their playoff series against the Lotte Giants.

Following a two-run homer off the bat of first baseman Park Jung-kwon, SK turned the table to win the game against Lotte by 8-4. Park was also chosen as the MVP of the playoff series.

The Wyverns will take on the Samsung Lions again this year. The two teams squared off in the Korean Series last year and SK defeated Samsung in four games to secure its third championship title.

The first game of the Korean Series will be held in Daegu on Tuesday.
