The organizing committee for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang has been launched.

The committee held its inaugural general assembly meeting at a Seoul hotel and elected its first chief, former Gangwon Province governor Kim Jin-sun.

Kim’s term will be through October 2013. He will also head the executive committee.
