Nation to Have Cool Weather This Week

Afternoon highs in most of the nation’s central region remained under 20 degrees Celsius on Monday.

Daytime highs in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province reached 17-point-four degrees Celsius and 18-point-two degrees in Seoul, which is seven or eight degrees lower than those recorded in previous years.

Afternoon highs in the country’s southern regions did not rise above 25 degrees Celsius either.

Daytime highs at the Daegwallyeong mountain in Gangwon Province posted eleven degrees, marking a 40-year record low.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicts that the nation will be windy and chilly on Tuesday, forecasting the morning lows at Daegwallyeong to fall as low as eight degrees Celsius and 14 degrees in Seoul.

Cool weather nationwide is expected for the time being.
