Star Striker Park Chu-young to Join Arsenal

South Korean national soccer team captain Park Chu-young has joined Arsenal, a prestigious club in England’s premier league.

Arsenal Football Club said on its Web site that they have agreed to sign striker Park Chu-Young from France’s AS Monaco. The team said he will wear the number nine on his shirt, but did not specify the details of the contract.

Park is currently with the national soccer team for the World Cup Asian preliminaries. He said that he is honored to have realized his dream by joining Arsenal. He said he wants to show how good he is.

Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said he is happy to sign on Park, calling him a valuable addition to the squad and said he would add a true quality to the team's attacking forces.
