S. Korea's Kim Hyun-sub Ranks 6th in Men's 20 Km Race Walk Finals

South Korea’s Kim Hyun-sub is ranked sixth in the men’s 20-kilometer race walk finals on the second day of the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Daegu on Sunday.

Kim is the first South Korean to rank within the top ten in the event.

He came in sixth after clocking one hour, 21 minutes and 17 seconds.

Russia’s Valeriy Borchin grabbed the gold medal with a time of one hour, 19 minutes and 56 seconds. Fellow Russian Vladimir Kanaykin came in second with a time of one hour, 20 minutes and 27 seconds.

Colombia’s Luis Fernando López won the bronze medal clocking one hour, 20 minutes and 38 seconds.
