IOC President to Visit S.Korea

The president of the International Olympic Committee will visit South Korea on Thursday to see athletes compete in the IAAF World Championships in Athletics that opens in Daegu on Saturday.

Following his arrival in the nation on Thursday, IOC President Jacques Rogge will hold a joint meeting with the International Association of Athletics Federations on Friday morning. He is also scheduled to hold an IOC executive meeting on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday, the IOC head will attend the opening ceremony of the championships.

Forty-eight other IOC members will also visit South Korea to see the athletics sports event in Daegu.
