White hail fell from the sky following a powerful rain shower Monday.

The one-centimeter in diameter hailstones created an uproarious sound when they hit the ground. Pedestrians rushed to take shelter from the maelstrom.

The unusual meteorological phenomenon occurred for ten minutes when skies were generally clear.

Several districts in Incheon, and Paju and Goyang in Geyonggi Province were pounded by the hail. Thunder was observed several times in most regions of Incheon as well.

The Chinese city of Shenyang was also hit by hailstones, which were as big as table tennis balls, on Sunday.
