A total of seven-point-three million U.S. dollars in prize money has been set for the winners of the IAAF World Championships in Athletics, which is scheduled to open in Daegu on August 27th.

The championship will feature athletes competing in 47 events and a marathon.

In individual and relay events, prizes will be distributed to players who come in at first through eighth place.
In marathon and group events, players who rank first through sixth will receive awards.

Those who top the individual sectors will receive 60-thousand dollars and for those who come in first place in relay events, 80-thousand dollars.

Official sponsors of the competition will separately bestow 110 million won for world record setters.
