Athletes Express Satisfaction with Athletes' Village in Daegu

Foreign athletes competing for the World Championships in Athletics in Daegu say they are pleased with their living accomodations.

Australian athletes were the first to enter athlete's village after arriving in the nation on Wednesday. They expressed satisfaction with state-of-the-art facilities and pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.

The chief of the Australian team on Friday told the Daegu organizing committee that the village feels like home and has great facilities.

Daegu, the first city to built an athletes’ village for the championships, constructed the village to enable athletes to stay at one place as in the Olympics or Asian Games.

Training facilities are just a three-minute walk from athletes’ lodgings and wireless Internet is available everywhere.
