S.Korea Advances to Round of 16 in U-20 World Cup

South Korea has painstakingly advanced to the round of 16 in the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The South Korean youth soccer team led by coach Lee Kwang-jong lost to host country Colombia 1-0 in the final Group A match held in Bogota.

With a win and two losses, South Korea ranked third in the group. But it has made it to the round of 16 as one of the four teams with the highest number of winning points among the third ranking teams of six groups.

France beat Mali 2-0 and advanced to the round of 16 as second in Group A.
