South Korea’s 20-under youth soccer team has defeated Mali in the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The team won a 2-0 victory over the African country in the opening match in Group A held in Bogota, Columbia.

Kim Kyung-jung scored the first goal in the 50 minute, and Jang Hyun-soo converted a penalty in the 80 minute

South Korea will face France on Wednesday.
