Weather Agency's Satisfaction Rating Climbs

The Korea Meteorological Administration says a recent survey found that the number of people satisfied with its weather forecasts went up in the first half of the year.

The KMA said its score of 82-point-three points out of 100 in terms of satisfaction of forecasts was four points higher than last year. The agency attributed the rise to the growth in accessibility of weather information through the use of social networks.

The weather agency said the survey also found that its level of accuracy had risen four-point-one percentage points from last year to stand at 93-point-one percent this year.

The agency conducts surveys on some nine-thousand people every six months via the phone and Internet to check the public’s satisfaction of its services.
