Swimmer Park Wins Gold in 400m Freestyle Event in Shanghai

South Korean swimmer Park Tae-hwan won the gold medal in the 400-meter freestyle event at the FINA World Aquatics Championships in Shanghai on Sunday.

Park came in first with a time of three minutes and 42.04 seconds during the race held at the Oriental Sports Center.

It marked the first time in four years for the South Korean swimmer to secure the gold in the 400-meter freestyle event.

Park will seek to add another gold medal during the men’s 200-meter freestyle event that will open from Monday.
