Central Region to See 80mm of Rain until Saturday

The central region is expected to see over 80 millimeters of rain until Saturday.

The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast Friday that Seoul, Gyeonggi Province and the western part of Daegwallyeong mountain pass in Gangwon Province will see 20 to 60 millimeters of rain until Saturday. The weather agency said the region northwest of Daegwallyeong mountain pass could see more than 80 millimeters of rain.

The seasonal rain fronts are expected to affect the central region until Saturday before moving northwards on Sunday.

The weather agency said most parts of the nation will begin to see sweltering heat and tropical nights beginning next week.

The agency added that with Typhoon Ma-on’s size expanding, the nation’s east coast will see heavy rain as of next Tuesday.
