S. Korea's Ryu Wins US Women's Open

Golfer Ryu So-yeon has won the U.S. Women's Open becoming the fifth South Korean to take the title.

Ryu beat fellow Korean Seo Hee-kyung in a three-hole aggregate playoff during the golf championship in Colorado Springs on Monday, local time. She forced the extra play by sinking a six-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole.

In 1998, Pak Se-ri became the first South Korean to capture the U.S. Women's Open title.
