Winter Olympic Bid Cmte Prepares for Final Presentation

The South Korean committee for hosting 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang held the first rehearsal for its final presentation before the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The Winter Olympic bid committee, including committee chairman Cho Yang-ho and figure skater Kim Yu-na, held a four-hour closed door rehearsal at the International Convention Centre Durban.

President Lee Myung-bak will be the main speaker during the presentation on Wednesday. He took the stage three times to practice his English speech.

Toby Dawson, a bronze medalist at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, also took part in the rehearsal. The ethnic Korean mogul skier was adopted at a young age and raised in America.

Munich, Germany and Annecy, France are Pyeongchang's competition to host the games. Representatives from each city will give a final 45-minute presentation before IOC officials on Wednesday followed by a 15-minute question and answer session.

The Korean presenters will hold their final dress rehearsal Monday evening.
