Golfer Yang Yong-eun Ties for 3rd at US Open

South Korean golfer Yang Yong-eun has tied for third at the 2011 U.S. Open golf championship.

Yang finished at six-under on Sunday, sharing third place with Lee Westwood. The tournament was held in Bethesda, Maryland and was the second major of the year.

This year’s U.S. Open champion, Rory McIlroy, finished at 17-under becoming the youngest person ever to win the tournament. The 22-year-old from Northern Ireland remained on the top spot from the first to the final round.

Other South Korean golfers Kim Kyung-tae, Noh Seung-yul and Kim Do-hoon tied for 30th finishing at two-over par.
