The Korean Wave, or Hallyu, is strong in Vietnam, where soccer star Park Ji-sung will hold a charity soccer match Wednesday night in Ho Chi Minh City.

Park recently held a soccer class for young players and around 100 reporters showed up to cover the event. Some 60 budding soccer talents, who went through a stringent screening process, participated. It is reported that they seemed to hang on to every one of Park's words.

Other soccer stars will be at the match including South Korea's Lee Chung-yong and Ki Sung-yong, Japan’s Hidetoshi Nakata and North Korea’s Jong Tae-se.

Park Ji-sung's charity match is an indication of the soccer Hallyu that is prevalent in Asia.
