S. Korea Beats Ghana 2-1 in Friendly Match

South Korea beat Ghana two-to-one in a soccer friendly or exhibition match on Tuesday in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province.

Ji Dong-won of the national soccer team scored the team’s first goal ten minutes into the game. Koo Ja-cheol scored the team’s go-ahead goal in extra time, which sealed the victory at 2-1.

Tuesday’s match was the second of two friendly games that the national soccer team led by coach, Cho Kwang-rae, competed this month. Last Friday, South Korea beat Serbia two-to-one in Seoul.

Starting in September, South Korea is set to compete for the third round of Asian qualifiers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
