Men and women of the national archery team are facing off in a battle of the sexes as part of a training exercise for upcoming competition.

The practice is being held in a ballpark with a real crowd and other potential distractions the archers will be faced with at the world championships in July.

The excessive noise produced by the crowd and loudspeakers have gotten the world class archers off to a slow start, however, the training is only intended to boost their concentration and confidence level.

The national team's chief director says he told the players to perform as if the male-female faceoff is an actual event so they can spot their weak areas.

The archers gradually settle in to the boisterous environment and return to their usual level of performance as the match winds down.

The training was effective and in the end, the men's team came out on top with 220-217 victory over the women.
