Local Scientists Develop Nanogap-based Hydrogen Sensor

A group of local scientists says it has developed a nanogap-based chemical sensing method for hydrogen gas detection.

The team is led by Professor Lee Woo-young of Yonsei University’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering. It said its hydrogen sensor was more sensitive and accessible compared to existing sensors, which are used for the early inspection of hydrogen gas that may be at risk of exploding.

The recent finding was published in the German journal, Angewandte Chemie International Edition.
