K.J. Choi Wins The Players Championship

South Korean Golfer Choi Kyoung-ju won The Players Championship in the U.S. on Sunday after beating American David Toms in sudden-death.

After four rounds in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Choi was tied at 13-under par with Toms. In the playoff, Choi sank a three-foot par putt on the first hole to seal his eighth career PGA victory.

The win marks his first PGA tour triumph in over three years since he took top honors at the Sony Open in January 2008.

Choi won one-point-seven million dollars in prize money at the nine-point-five million dollar tournament.
