Figure Skater Kim Yu-na Returns Home with the Silver

Olympic champion figure skater Kim Yu-na has returned home after winning a silver medal at the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships in Moscow.

Upon arriving at Incheon International Airport on Monday, Kim told reporters that she had some regrets but was content with the recent championships. She will skate again in an ice show at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium for four days beginning on Friday.

On May 18th and 19th, Kim will travel to the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, Switzerland to attend a briefing of the candidate cities that are bidding to host the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Her visit is aimed at supporting Pyeongchang’s efforts to host the sports event.

On July sixth, Kim will visit Durban, South Africa where the IOC will announce during a general assembly meeting the city that will host the 2018 Winter Olympics.
