Kim Yu-na Wins Silver at World Figure Championships

South Korean figure skater Kim Yu-na has won a silver medal at the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships in Moscow, while Miki Ando of Japan secured gold with her best performance of the season.

The Olympic gold medalist finished first on Friday's short program, however, Kim fell short of winning her second world title due to jump mistakes in free skating on Saturday.

The ovarall score was 194.50 points after she free skated to a compilation of traditional music "Homage to Korea." Ando led Kim by 1.29 points.

Carolina Kostner of Italy took third place with 184.68 points.
