Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety President Yun Choul-ho says no artificial radionuclides have been found in samples of tap water provided from 23 purification plants nationwide.

The sampled waters were taken from faucets after miniscule amount of radioactive substances were found in South Korea's atmosphere last week.

The president of the institute added that results of tests conducted on seawater and oceanic life for radionuclides will be announced around Sunday.

Meanwhile, he said a date has yet to be set on disclosing the results on whether any traces of plutonium were found in the nation following reports of small amount of plutonium found in the soil at the Fukushima nuclear power plant’s reactor number one in Japan.
