Star Striker Scores Tenth Goal of Season

Captain of South Korea’s national soccer team Park Ju-young has scored ten goals in one season since playing in the French league.

On Sunday Korean time, the 26-year-old Park of AS Monaco scored his tenth goal of the season that helped his team win over AC Arles-Avignon, in the 29th round of the 2010-2011 French Football League, Ligue 1.

At the home ground match against SM Caen in late February, he scored two goals in a row. Those were his eighth and ninth goals in the season.

This is the first time a Korean player has scored two-digit goals in one season while playing in the top five pro soccer leagues in Europe since Cha Bum-kun scored 17 goals in the 1985-1986 season.
