South Korean speed skater Lee Kyou-hyuk won a gold medal on Sunday during the men’s 500-meter event at the World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships in Inzell, Germany.

Lee took first in the race, clocking in with times of 34.78 seconds and 34.32 seconds.

South Korean female skater Lee Sang-hwa, meanwhile, managed to win the silver medal in the women’s 500-meter event.
