The strongest solar flare in four years has reached the earth, but there have been no reported cases of related damage.

The Korea Communications Commission's Radio Research Agency said that changes in the earth's magnetic field were observed at around 10:30 a.m. when high-energy electrified particles hit the earth.

The agency, however, said that disruptions of shortwave radio communications, satellites, or global positioning systems have not been reported yet.

The agency added that the effects of the solar flare on the earth will continue for about two to three days.
